Your teen isn't stupid, but poor study skills might make them feel that way...

Would you like to help your child achieve their goals and build a strong foundation for a bright future?

Regents Ready Review Classes

A year's worth of information to review, and not a lot of time to do it!  Getting ready for the Regents doesn't have to be an exhausting task (for you or for your teen).  Just like our private tutoring, our classes address the complex needs of your teen.

Confidence - Skills - Comprehension - Improved Scores

The Smart, Successful Student Program:

Total-Scope Approach: Our classes are focused on getting your teen ready for the Regents.  Plus, part of every session is devoted to guiding students to better habits of learning, which extend much further than this one test.

We make sure your child:

makes the best use of study time, working smarter, not harder

has the skills the NYS Board of Regents considers most important

understands how those skills will be tested and how to apply them to real problems

knows how the test is put together and how it gets scored, so there are no surprises

gets test-taking tips and techniques to overcome being stuck

manages time well on the test to get the most points

goes into the exam feeling confident

adopts a Success Mindset to overcome mental obstacles

Our classes are more than just reviewing old exams.  While it is important to practice, practicing mistakes is really just another mistake.  See below for what is included with each class.

Algebra Review Class:

5 1-hour sessions of instruction, review, and practice: Review and reinforce the skills and knowledge needed to do well on the exam.

3 1-hour sessions of breaking down past exams and questions: See exactly how to apply techniques and skills to the Regents exam, so that when your student is taking the real test, they have practiced and are prepared.

Weekly homework assignments: Helps your teen see how to successfully complete Regents-style problems on their own, and bring any questions to class or to lab so they are fully ready to do well on the actual test.

Small-group setting (maximum 10 students): In a small group, your child won't get lost in the bunch.  They will be able to ask questions and get answers.  Students often learn from hearing others' questions.

Experienced math instructor/tutor: Lessons are taught by a trained and highly skilled instructor with years of experience.

Proven track record helping students pass Regents exams

Bonuses:

LEARNING LAB: Weekly open lab for your teen to come in to get additional help.

REVIEW BOOK LOAN: Your teen will have a go-to resource for reviewing key concepts, practicing skills, and getting their questions answered between sessions.

STRESS BUSTERS & MINDSET: Cutting edge, easy, and quick techniques to overcome nervousness and improve brain function

English Review Class:

5 1-hour sessions of instruction, review, and practice: Review and reinforce the skills and knowledge needed to score well on the exam

Each session will cover a different section of the test, including familiarity with important literary elements and terms, and skill-building for grammatically correct writing.

Handouts are provided with each session so that your teen will have them to take home and review.

Every session has a practice piece to complete in session and receive feedback.

Your teen will leave with an understanding of how the test is structured and how to tackle each section.

Assigned homework weekly gives students the opportunity to practice on their own and bring any questions to class.  They'll have to take the test on their own, so this is essential!

Small-group setting (maximum 10 students): In a small group, your child won't get lost in the bunch.  They will be able to ask questions and get answers.  Students often learn from hearing others' questions.

Experienced English instructor/tutor: Lessons are taught by a trained and highly skilled instructor with years of experience.

Proven track record helping students pass Regents exams

Bonuses:

LEARNING LAB: Weekly open lab for your teen to come in to get additional help

STRESS BUSTERS & MINDSET: Cutting edge, easy, and quick techniques to overcome nervousness and improve brain function

All this comes together to help increase confidence, skills, and most importantly – grades.
